coins

We have, like most parents, taught the boys not to put coins in their mouth. Of course we have explained that coins are pretty dirty and alot of people touch them and they fall on the ground etc. Well the boys were recently given some special coins. They each received a half dollar and a silver dollar from their Great Uncle Bud. They were very interested in these new large coins and spent some time inspecting them and asking questions about them. Then while driving home from Arkansas, Rollin and Fynn had both fallen asleep. Tucker however was still fascinated with his new silver dollar. I had explained that they were pretty rare and that they don't make them anymore. He asked if anyone had ever touched it. I responded by saying that a few people have becuase Uncle Bud handed them to me and I handed them to him so that was at least 3 hands that it had been in. Then his said " well I just licked it and it only tastes like one person has ever touched it". Thadeus and I began to laugh and he said "I'm serious". I asked "well how can you tell by licking it how many people have touched it?" He very seriously said "well becuase I have licked a penny before and it tasted like a hundred people touched it!"
