I think our pumpkins were actually crossed with a sort of gourd. They were so tough we could hardly cut through them. But we managed at least to get the tops off and clean them out. They still don't have faces! We had a fire going so I decided to roast the seeds they tasted great but like the pumpkins were a little tough. The boys had a blast but of course they enjoy anything that involves sharp knives and slimy guts!
